ICBA Minority Bank Advisory Council member George Andrews and others at Unity National Bank in Atlanta last week hosted top administration officials for a roundtable discussion on U.S. small businesses.
Vice President Mike Pence, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson, Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue and Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp joined the discussion, which focused on the Paycheck Protection Program and other initiatives to stimulate local economic growth during the coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking at the roundtable, Pence said the PPP has funded roughly $510 billion in small-business loans, including $15 billion in Georgia.
