Las Vegas, Nev. (March 12, 2013)—The Independent Community Bankers of America® today announced that it has extended its agreement with CPI Card Group as an ICBA Preferred Service Provider (PSP). As part of the agreement, ICBA-member community banks will continue to receive exclusive pricing to CPI’s credit and debit card manufacturing services. The announcement was made during the 2013 ICBA National Convention and Techworld® at the Wynn Las Vegas and Encore.
“ICBA is pleased to continue its relationship with CPI Card Group, which shares our goal of giving community banks the best tools possible so they can continue to be competitive in this space, all while ensuring that their customers receive secure debit and credit services,” said Dan Clancy, executive vice president of services at ICBA.
CPI Card Group is a global, full-service manufacturer that focuses on the unique needs of community banks. Since becoming a PSP in 2007, CPI Card Group has provided millions of debit and credit cards for ICBA member banks. CPI utilizes high-definition printing technology, employing sophisticated hardware, software and print knowledge to ensure crisp images and vibrant, consistent color. CPI also offers complimentary design services, helping member banks to reinforce or refresh their brand. Through the online Web tool Card Designer™, bankers may design their own credit and debit cards using custom bank imagery or stock images with CPI’s templates as a launching point. Additionally, CPI is an industry leader in the switch from magnetic stripe to smart cards and continually educates community bankers on this industry transition.
“CPI Card Group is a trusted partner of our bank,” said Samuel Neese, member of ICBA’s Bank Services Committee and CEO of Highlands Union Bank in Abingdon, Va. “Credit and debit accounts represent a core product offering for the bank, and CPI’s outstanding customer support, quick delivery, and consistent card quality enables us to provide exceptional service to our customers.”
CPI Card Group is excited about their continued opportunity as an ICBA Preferred Service Provider. “We look forward to assisting community banks in offering high quality products and services to their customers,” said Steve Montross, president and CEO of CPI Card Group. “As the US market migrates to the use of smart cards, we are ready to provide ICBA members with any additional assistance that they may need in order to ensure a smooth transition.”
