ICBA seeks participants for cross-border payments group

ICBA is seeking 12-15 community bankers to join its working group on cross-border payments.

Details: The bankers who participate in the working group will help identify specific pain points that community banks and their customers face with cross-border payments. This group will meet monthly and have three main goals:

  • Identify specific pain points or concerns (e.g. AML/BSA issues, technical, etc.).

  • Develop ideas to improve the cross-border payment experience.

  • Support ICBA advocacy on issues related to cross-border payments.

ICBA Efforts: ICBA's Brian Laverdure, who was recently appointed to the Financial Stability Board’s Legal, Regulatory, and Supervisory Task Force for Cross-Border Payments, said the new working group will help ICBA maximize this opportunity to voice community banks’ views on cross-border payments.

Apply: Additional information on the group and its goals is available here. Community bankers interested in applying can contact Aaron Stetter at aaron.stetter@icba.org.
