Nashville, Tenn. (March 11, 2025)—ICBA CRA Solutions, a subsidiary of the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) will celebrate 25 years of helping community banks combat elder financial abuse through partnerships with senior housing and care facilities while fulfilling their CRA commitments. ICBA will commemorate the 25th anniversary of ICBA CRA Solutions at ICBA LIVE 2025 in Nashville, where attendees will celebrate the organization’s legacy and ongoing contributions to community banking.
“For 25 years, ICBA CRA Solutions has played a critical role in helping community banks make a meaningful impact in the communities they serve,” ICBA President and CEO Rebeca Romero Rainey said. “Through innovative solutions and expert guidance, ICBA CRA Solutions has empowered community banks to meet their Community Reinvestment Act obligations while reinforcing their commitment to protect at-risk seniors in low- to moderate-income communities. We are honored to celebrate this milestone and look forward to continuing this important work.”
To carry out its mission, ICBA CRA Solutions administers its proven crime prevention programs in nearly 1,000 CRA-qualified senior living facilities nationwide. Beyond helping seniors, participation in the program has several other positive impacts on local communities with proceeds from their community development loans and investments helping low-and moderate-income individuals find affordable housing, obtain low-interest home mortgages, and receive affordable healthcare services.
“Since its founding, ICBA CRA Solutions has been dedicated to helping community banks strengthen their communities through meaningful reinvestment initiatives,” ICBA CRA Solutions President and CEO David Lenoir said. “By offering banks an efficient and impactful way to earn CRA credit, we’ve helped ensure that community banks remain a driving force in local economic development. We are excited to mark this milestone and continue providing innovative solutions to our members.”
The program continues to expand to help community banks address CRA modernization and other compliance challenges with the launch of CRA Support Services and CRA Education and Training solutions in 2024.
"As financial stewards, community banks remain committed to protecting America’s senior citizens and providing a secure experience in local retirement facilities," said ICBA CRA Solutions Chairman Robert Fisher, who also serves as chairman, president and CEO of Tioga State Bank in Spencer, N.Y. "That's why our programs are tailored to provide bankers with the insights and tools needed to succeed."
