San Antonio (Feb. 27, 2022)—Starting today, community bankers and industry leaders from across the country will gather in-person for the 2022 Independent Community Bankers of America® (ICBA) national convention ICBA LIVE, at the Henry B. González Convention Center. This year’s convention theme, “All In, All Heart” is a direct reflection of the tireless efforts of community bankers—throughout the pandemic and into the future—to go above and beyond for their customers and communities.
The event will feature an eclectic group of inspirational and forward-thinking general session speakers, including Mike Walsh, futurist and CEO of global consultancy Tomorrow, and Paralympian, NBC Sports correspondent and author Mallory Weggemann. ICBA Chairman Robert Fisher, Chairman-elect Brad Bolton and ICBA President and CEO Rebeca Romero Rainey are also slated to speak.
“Community bankers are all in and all heart and ICBA is all in for community banks as we kick-off ICBA LIVE,” ICBA President and CEO Rebeca Romero Rainey said. "We are looking forward to engaging with our members in-person and having this opportunity to reflect on where we’ve been and where we are going as an industry. It’s an exciting time to be a community banker and I know ICBA LIVE will not only educate, but also inspire all who attend.”
During the immersive educational event, community bankers can choose from 55 sessions and learning labs spanning seven tracks, including talent management; risk, regulation and exams; technology, payments and innovation; lending and deposits; and marketing and growth. New for 2022, ICBA will debut the EDGE Stage, a space where community bankers can learn about vital topics in banking and hear from inclusion strategist Denise Hamilton.
The event will also feature its fourth ICBA ThinkTECH Innovation Showcase, where community bankers will view product demos from the 2022 ICBA ThinkTECH Accelerator cohort before voting for the fintech solution that will be selected for the Community Bankers’ Choice Award.
