Community banks are working to combat fraudsters using artificial intelligence to target seniors, according to the latest Independent Banker magazine.

Fighting Back: In response to the rise in AI-powered elder fraud, ICBA CRA Solutions has ramped up efforts to help community banks earn CRA credits by preventing elder financial abuse, according to the article. One popular feature is “fraud prevention bingo,” which offers more than 50 tips, tricks, and conversation starters on frauds and scams to share at senior centers.

Other Resources: ICBA recently announced a partnership with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service to combat check fraud. Community banks can access a customizable news release highlighting their commitment to fighting check fraud.
