The latest Independent Banker magazine details community banks’ uptake of instant payment systems such as FedNow and Real-Time Payments.
Details: Some community banks signed up for FedNow, which has been available for a year now, because of the ease of adoption and low entry cost, according to the article.
Momentum: While many banks gradually enter the instant payments space as receive-only, ICBA’s Scott Anchin said more community banks likely will also opt for send capabilities when more liquidity management and fraud detection tools become available.
Features: The September issue of Independent Banker also features articles on ICBA National Community Bank Service Award winners, recent Supreme Court decisions, compliance challenges, agricultural lending, and more.
Access: The magazine is available on the Independent Banker website and via the digital edition.
