ICBA announced the winners of the 2024 National Community Bank Service Awards in recognition of the creative and exemplary efforts of the nation’s community banks to help their local communities.
Awards: ICBA’s 2024 award winners are:
Exceptional Community Bank Service Award: Phelps County Bank in Rolla, Mo., for its Take-a-Stand Against Child Abuse program, which engages local children in running lemonade stands to raise funds for nonprofits dedicated to child abuse prevention and awareness.
Emerging Community Bank Service Award: Woodsboro Bank in Woodsboro, Md., for 100% employee participation in its tree-planting event, which plays a vital role in filtering drinking water and reducing flooding for residents along the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
Honorable Mentions: ICBA awarded honorable mentions to:
Kingston, N.Y.-based Ulster Savings Bank for its commitment to supporting local nonprofits through its Ulster Savings Charitable Foundation, which provides vital funding and resources to community organizations.
Elkader, Iowa-based FreedomBank for its "Supplies for Success" drive to provide essential classroom supplies to teachers and help alleviate their financial burden.
