ICBA President and CEO Rebeca Romero Rainey welcomed a record number of community bankers and first-time attendees to this year’s ICBA Capital Summit.

Banker Advocacy: Romero Rainey thanked attendees for taking time out of their busy schedules to engage with regulators and lawmakers and serve on ICBA committees. She encouraged bankers to tell their story about how the onslaught of regulations reduces access to credit and their ability to serve customers.

Outlook: “In these hyper-partisan times, I remain incredibly optimistic about what we can bring to the table,” Romero Rainey said. “You are here for good, and we are operating by the politics of community banking.”

Speakers: Today’s Capital Summit speakers include House Financial Services Committee Vice Chairman French Hill (R-Ark.).
