Offering delivers interactive digital experience to drive customer engagement
Orlando, Fla. (March 9, 2020)—ICBA Bancard®, the payments subsidiary of the Independent Community Bankers of America® (ICBA), announced today an agreement with Ondot Systems for a white label version of Card App™. Through the agreement, community banks can offer their customers the latest digital experiences, providing convenience, transparency and control over their credit and debit cards.
“This partnership puts community banks at the forefront of the digital experience and sends a signal to customers that they can rely on their local community bank to provide the best digital tools available, while offering the superior service for which community banks are known,” said ICBA Bancard President and CEO Tina Giorgio. “At ICBA Bancard, we work every day to bring value and innovation exclusively to community banks so they, in turn, can help their customers spend, manage and monitor their card transactions effectively.”
Card App provides community banks with a framework to offer the latest digital experiences on top of their existing infrastructure—with the ability to launch within weeks. Card App can be linked to an issuer’s mobile banking app, which gives consumers seamless access between Card App and mobile banking with a single sign-on, allowing them to:
- Get a new card or replace a card quickly with mobile onboarding and digital issuance,
- Push cards to digital wallets and use instantly in Apple Pay, Google Pay and online,
- Review purchases with merchant data, such as logos, maps, contact information and operating hours,
- See spending insights and view subscriptions and merchant-stored cards,
- Manage their cards with easy self-service and advanced card controls, and
- Engage with their community bank via instant offers, credit wellness and real-time, interactive alerts.
“Ondot’s mission is to help issuers of all sizes modernize their credit and debit card portfolios,” said Vaduvur Bharghavan, CEO of Ondot Systems. “This is not just about creating digital experiences. Banks can combat fraud, increase customer activity and reduce operations costs with Card App. We think this is a win-win for community banks and the customers they serve.”
Ondot’s real-time controls and alerts are trusted by more than 4,500 financial institutions. Card App was recently named the winner of the Fintech Breakthrough Award as the Best Fintech Mobile Application for 2020.
