Shirley Ringhand is the senior vice president of certification programs, seminars, webinars and the Bank Director Program for the Independent Community Bankers of America’s® (ICBA). She oversees the maintenance, development, and leadership of ICBA’s certification programs, webinars, seminars, and virtual offerings that serve more than 120,000 community bankers in the United States each year.
Ringhand ensures all certification programs, seminars, webinars, and the Bank Director Program stay relevant, timely, and valuable for ICBA members. ICBA’s Bank Director Program delivers online training, a bi-monthly newsletter, a governance helpline and an employment hotline to bank directors and reaches thousands of directors each year. In this role, Ringhand, provides strategic advice on education initiatives, curriculum, and new educational programs.
Before joining ICBA, Ringhand served as a banker and regional vice president for a twin cities-based national bank for more than 20 years, with her most recent role as part of the management team at a $296-million asset central Minnesota community bank.
Ringhand has a BS in Mass Communications from St. Cloud State University.
