Kraig Lounsberry is President and CEO of Community Bankers Association of Illinois
Kraig Lounsberry joined CBAI as Senior Vice President of Government Relations on July 1, 2008, at the time bringing more than 25 years of experience to the CBAI governmental relations team. His experience in both the public and private sector included positions with the Taxpayer’s Federation of Illinois, the Office of the Governor, and the Office of Banks and Real Estate. On January 1, 2018, Kraig assumed the position of President and CEO making him only the second President in the 50-year history of the Community Bankers Association of Illinois.
Kraig earned a Master of Arts Degree in Political Studies from Sangamon State University (now the University of Illinois Springfield), and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Political Science from Knox College in Galesburg Illinois. Kraig resides in rural Pawnee Illinois with his wife Debbie and two Children Ashley and Jackson.
