Ken Royal is ICBA Payments' Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer, and Chief Technology Officer. Ken is a cross-functional technology leader with over 24-years of experience driving transformative change at the intersection of IT and business strategy.

As CIO, Ken is responsible for overseeing enterprise IT strategy, ensuring data security, optimizing IT infrastructure, and managing technology expense. As CTO, Ken leads the innovation agenda, identifying emerging technologies, guiding product development, and setting the technical vision for future advancements. He is responsible for research and development, ensuring the company's offerings remain competitive and future-ready.

Before joining ICBA Payments, Ken held the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at HomeTrust Bank, where he played a pivotal role in driving technological innovation and strategic planning. He provided expert technical consultancy and support, spearheaded the development of long-term technology infrastructure plans, and led the governance of IT architecture. Additionally, Ken established a robust framework for continuous improvement and automation, ensuring the bank's systems remained agile, efficient, and aligned with future growth objectives.

As a former community banker, Ken is dedicated to developing innovative solutions that empower community banks to elevate their payment products and services, delivering greater value to their customers.
