Aaron Stetter is executive vice president, affiliate and volunteer relations for the Independent Community Bankers of America® (ICBA). Stetter is responsible for developing strategies to enhance ICBA's volunteer relations and engagement with its community bank leaders and state-affiliated partners.
Stetter served in various ICBA positions during his previous 18-year tenure, including as executive vice president of advocacy and strategic engagement, senior vice president of congressional relations and advocacy, vice president of congressional relations and grassroots outreach, and director of state relations. Prior to rejoining ICBA in 2023, he served as principal for Effective Advocacy Consulting, LLC.
Stetter also served as chairman of the influential Electronic Payments Coalition from 2015-2016.
A frequent speaker at industry events, Stetter is often quoted in leading publications, including The Hill, Politico, American Banker, and S&P Global.
Stetter earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and political science from The State University of New York at Buffalo and a Master of Arts in public management from Johns Hopkins University.
