- The Washington state Department of Health is announcing the closure of two of its four mass vaccination sites; coming as the state has vaccinated nearly 40% of its population. The state has stated its intent to move from larger sites to a larger number of mobile sites.
- The European Council has come to a preliminary agreement regarding vaccine certificates to facilitate travel through the EU for vaccinated individuals. The certificate will provide proof of vaccination and negative Covid test results; allowing a more easily validated method of checking traveler background with regards to the virus.
- Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer announced Thursday the lifting of all outdoor capacity limits starting June 1st, with indoor limits rising to 50%. Also announced was that the state is set to lift mask mandates and gathering restrictions on July 1st, coming after weeks of declining case and hospitalization rates.
