Equifax reported a data breach that could potentially affect 143 million U.S. consumers. The credit bureau said criminals exploited a website vulnerability to access certain files from mid-May through July. Information accessed during the breach, which was discovered in July, includes names, Social Security numbers, birth dates, addresses, driver’s license numbers, credit card numbers and certain dispute documents. |
