Washington, D.C. (July 12, 2016)— The Independent Community Bankers of America® (ICBA) today promoted John McNair to executive vice president of member relations and named Joshua Habursky as a director of advocacy.
“We are delighted to promote John McNair for his leadership in member engagement and to welcome Joshua Habursky to the government relations team,” said Terry Jorde, ICBA’s senior executive vice president and chief of staff. “These are vital roles for ICBA as we focus on providing innovative education, products and services to community banks and on increasing our influence with policymakers in Washington.”
McNair has served in senior management roles at ICBA for 12 years, most recently as senior vice president of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. As executive vice president of member relations, McNair will lead national initiatives to broaden member engagement with ICBA’s state-of-the-art educational programs and extensive network of products and services tailored specifically for community bankers. McNair holds a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from Wilmington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Delaware.
Habursky will direct the association’s grassroots and advocacy apparatus. Habursky has managed grassroots programs at other trade associations and government and political organizations. He has published articles in leading political science journals, including Campaigns & Elections magazine and Roll Call, and serves as an adjunct professor at West Virginia University’s Reed College of Media. Harbursky holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Washington & Jefferson College and a Master of Arts in Government from Georgetown University.
