Final Banquet EntertainmentSponsored by: FIS For the entertainment on the final night of the convention, we have confirmed the Manhattan Transfer. The Manhattan Transfer is an award winning and crowd pleasing quartet comprised of Tim Hauser, Janis Siegel, Alan Paul and Cheryl Bentyne. They have won multiple Grammy Awards, with their 1985 album Vocalese receiving 12 nominations (an achievement at the time that was second only to Michael Jackson’s Thriller for the most nominated album). Manhattan Transfer was the first group ever to win in both Pop and Jazz categories within the same year (1981), and they held a ten-year sweep between 1980-1990 as the “Best Vocal Group” in both DownBeat and Playboy annual jazz polls. The group performs extensively all over the world and has collaborated with multiple artists (Tony Bennett, B.B. King, Phil Collins, and Frankie Valli, to name a few), along with continuing to produce original material. Popular songs include: “Operator”, “Chanson d’Amour”, “Twilight Zone/Twilight Tone”; “The Boy From New York City”; “Birdland”; “Spice of Life”; “Mystery”; “Sassy”; and many more.
